Three Brothers

Three brothers walking through the deathly wilderness
Faces death in a river black and deep

Conquering their fears they bridge the river and cross the ends
This act of wit impresses death and it takes form in front of them

"Well done mortal souls you have crossed the eternal test of courage"

"I shall grant you each one wish for the valience displayed"

The first one, vengeance afflicted, asks for a great sword invincible
With this he kills his enemy, but dies in the hands of a stealing bandit

The second one, with a lost love, asks for an amulet of ressurection
He revives his long-dead wife, but kills himself in seeing a soulless love in front of him

The third one, the wise one, asks for a cloak of invisibility
With which he treads a thousand years, defying death and living a perfect life

Three brothers, a story long lost, reminding of the act of the mind
Ever after, living faith, comes with decisions wisely made

Death wandered around the world, ,looking for the third brother
He never had a sight of him, death got surprised at the wisdom in the world
One in three, took a right step, and has a happy life ahead
And passes on the cloak and wisdom to the sons and daughters years ahead

Three brothers, a story long lost, reminding of the act of the mind
Ever after, living faith, comes with decisions wisely made

Three brothers, a story long lost, reminding of the act of the mind
Ever after, living faith, comes with decisions wisely made
A learning grace, for years to come
The treasure of wisdom, conquers all our fears
